The Ed and Martha Wright 2 Piece Twisted Bit is the most severe of the Ed and Martha Wright bits. It is
a small, twisted wire and breaks only 1 time in the middle. The single break makes the center of the bit rise into the roof of the horse’s mouth when rein contact is made. Because of the twists, it provides more ‘bite” as compared to a smooth mouthpiece.
